With some milk crates, zip ties, garden cutters and a router, we came up
with a new stand for the exhaust fan. Trimmed the torn-up end of the duct
tube. I suggest coating the new end with some flexible sealant, as there
are still a few pinholes.
When the adapter is installed, combined with the new duct/roof interface,
I think fume extraction will be greatly improved!
Ping Jake or myself if you are going to mount the adapter. It needs to be
screwed & glued.
There is an air gap along the bottom front at the cutter’s air intake. I
suggest we do some test cuts first to see if it needs sealing off. I still
think it’s a good idea to run some plastic weather-stripping around the
door frame, though.
