We mainly need the edges of the panes to be scraped off so the glazier can reseal the panes properly, which should eliminate a lot of the remaining leakage. I believe the plan was also to take out the vent above the main tables, which was letting in a ton of water.

We already did most of the scraping above CCL. In some places the coating peels off the glass in long strips, which is quite satisfying. If not, it can be softened up by soaking it with isopropanol for a couple minutes first. On average, we took about two person-hours per skylight. If you need any, there should be some metal paint scrapers in the top compartment of the red toolbox in CCL - please return them when done.

Hi sudoers!

We had an unfortunate incident with the new protective coating on our roof where the roof windows got coated as well. It's some latex type substance and CCL tells us it isn't too difficult to get off.

Is anyone up for helping with a couple of hours of scraping tomorrow (Saturday) from 3 pm to 5 pm?

I'll bring scrapers and we'll lay down some 2x4s across the windows so people be in danger of falling through the glass.
