Welcome Scott!

I’ve started taking a look at the printer. It’s a super nice machine! Way better than our other printers. I’m excited to help get it working!

Mechanically it looks like it’s in good shape. It needs updated firmware. It has Marlin installed but the firmware is not configured for Core-XY and the three auto bed leveling z axis steppers (very nice!) are not hooked up to the control board. However there are cables for the steppers with it in the box of parts and the control board has drivers and plugs for the three other steppers.

So basically we need someone who can install the correct firmware for this printer. The email below in the chain has info on the model of printer but this has an additional z axis mod (which is very nice!) which will require additional configuration. Options are marlin or klipper. I have never configured klipper but it seems nice.

I’m doing the big push for burning man right now so I won’t be able to look at this more till September. If someone else has any experience with configuring 3D printer firmware it would be great for you to take this on!

Hey, Dropped off the printer with Toby and met a few folks who were excited,
skeptical, and questioning the printer. I figured I would share some info on
it.

Here is the page on the upgraded Z mod I did: https://seckit3dp.design/kit/triple-z

Here is the page for the main printer build: https://github.com/SecKit/SK-Go_SK-Mini

Here is some info on the firmware it can run: https://www.klipper3d.org/
(I think if you do some digging, you can find examples for the kinematic bed)

Here is the bed probe I used: https://coex3d.com/products/bltouch-v3-1-automatic-bed-leveling-probe

The stepper motor board used is big tree tech octopus v1.0 with TMC2209 drivers

If you have any other questions let me know :)

Also,
If you guys need volunteers or anything, let me know. I’d love to help out with really cool people like you guys.

Regards
