Want to pass along some discussion from the slack group. The idea of this meeting is to be a chance for BIPOC in omni community to reclaim the story CLP has been spreading (their story mainly being that they were the sole voice of BIPOC at Omni, and that we removed them because of our racism/islamophobia/zionism). It is also a meeting to figure out how we can do better going forwards, what steps need go be taken.
Given CLP's allegations/what a lot of audience members think, its crucial that we let this remain a BIPOC centered meeting. It is also essential that we keep our cool and do not take any bait to act out or get aggravated. In past meetings we've been called out for this and caused outrage. I know it will be difficult to stay silent especially if there are lies thrown around, but if you are not a BIPOC person I think its better to save your comments for internal emails. Or email/message CLP, just know you might be doxxed if in disagreement. Ill be joining tonight but plan to just listen.
