The primary concern for Sudo Room is a) extension cords and b)
hazardous materials. Extension cords should be removed especially
if they're daisy chained or running across egress pathways. Of
course pathways should be clear throughout the building, clutter
(especially of the flammable variety) removed, and ensure nothing
is blocking electrical panels. That's from many years of memory,
anyway.. it's been a minute :)
Omni should be on this but just in case - we typically hire Genesis Fire to refresh/recertify our fire extinguishers and emergency exit lights prior to annual fire inspection.
Attaching the general checklist for Oakland public assembly approval. Also, I think there exists an exhaustive, Omni-specific inspection prep list put together by David Keenan, so I'll CC him here if he has that to share ^_^

@Romy Ilano and @Silver Zahn: I won't be at the event from 2 - 6 PM, but I'll be in at 8 PM for the Sudo Room meeting, and I'm happy to spend 30 - 60 minutes cleaning up the space and coordinating anyone else there if you give me a list of tasks you'd like us to tackle.
Also, can you share the fire-safety checklist that you showed us on Sunday?

We need to discuss plans/ideas/goals/dreams for 2023, but in the immediate present, everyone should know that Omni needs to pass a fire inspection on Thursday in order to get approved to resume hosting events, and that's half our revenue, so it's kind of must-pass.
On Tuesday at Harware/Software Hacking night and at Wednesday's meeting anyone present should please go through and try to identify any issues and remedy them. I'm going to ask folks on the Omni Building group to share the checklist, and forward it. If anyone else has it, please share in this thread.
