Thanks Angela. I do appreciate Marshall Rosenberg's work. I want to expand on this and say that his work has been criticized as failing when issues of race are involved, which may be particularly relevant to us right now. See this critique here:
I do still encourage people to learn about his work, but it is important to understand that it assumes both people experience each other as equals in the conversation, and does not account for structural imbalances.
