meta discussion about what membership means

  • Can contribute through worktrade
  • Korl: Even just organizing once a week is great
  • Matt: We have never filled out our three month backlog/buffer financially
  • Yar: we did once. then we spent it on first/last/deposit at this place
  • Korl: Seems to work better if we ask each question and then all applicants answer before going to the next question.
  • Yar: Keep the sections separate!
  • Kwaku: What's stack?
    • Korl: It's a system for avoiding crosstalk where you put your name down and then you get a turn

pondering

  • Alex, Lef & Mari are now members! yay!
  • 10/21 Merry applied on 10/21 and is being blocked
    • Marc heard they were banned for safe-space from noisebridge, but apparently it was never official.
  • 10/28 Andrew applied, pondering ends November 25
  • 11/04 Dane applied, pondering ends December 2

Rats and Mice

We have so many rats and mice (mostly rats) and we really need to deal with it.

  • Micolah: Also ants in the bathroom
  • Marc: They hide behind the robot control mechanism, and closet under stairs. Need to clean those areas, may be better to put high quality traps there before so we don't push them out. May get traps next week. How do people feel about this before next week? We have breathing shielding, masks, gloves,
    • Matt: Mari was going to post hack sudoroom event, but it sort of didn't happen. Maybe worth doing another attempt.
      • Jenny: I know Mari has breathing difficulty issues, so was that organizing or cleaning?
    • Marc: Going to put on the wiki where the traps are so people can track and then check on them occasionally. Peanut butter good, even better are pieces of meat.
    • Jake: I think we should make traps. Should do this on hardware hacking tuesdays. I have killed rats many different ways.
    • Yar: I can confirm four different ways Jake has killed rat.
    • Matt makes suggestive hand motions about rats going in holes.
    • Jake: In the dinosaur age there were rats the size of dogs. They weren't called that though.
