I am a community computer teacher and tutor (formerly doing commercial IT work), and now teach computer for a refugee employment program in Oakland. My intention is to develop and use technology for the social good, and utilize my technology skills in internet and databases for organizations that serve the public. I’m also involved in Oakland's community garden program to develop their food growing capacity. I also volunteered in a school garden at Encompass Academy in East Oakland. I have lived in the Bay Area since 2000 and in Oakland since 2010 I also volunteer with Reading Partners at Learning Without Limits Elementary in East Oakland, helping students improve their literacy . I am active at the East Bay Meditation Center (2141 Broadway’s former tenant), which has moved to 17th & Harrison.
