Rust
Overview
A rust learning sequence at SudoRoom Women & NonBinary night over the course of several evenings.
It is part of the experiment in LearningToLearn
- We'll be following the gentle introduction to rust by Steve Donovan https://stevedonovan.github.io/rust-gentle-intro/

Techniques
Experimental Digital Detox
Sessions will commence with paper handouts, no laptops in front of participants at first, and minimal mention of YouTubers, learning courses, etc. Possibly have a small tablet out for reference. No social media.
We'll focus mostly on whiteboarding. Even for very basic modules people should be Able to whiteboard and explain what they just looked at. For the coding segments it depends on people's preferences, but as minimal online lookups as possible. Do as much pen and paper before committing to typing.
Progression
In contrast to previous efforts, the meetings should have some kind of notes.
- We will lean on as many physical notes as possible, then pdf / epub, wiki and lastly maybe a Wordpress blog page. If useful we'll then turn to online video tutorials but in tiny doses.
- There is a copy of The Gentle Introduction to Rust printed out in our print library
