[sudo-discuss] Xavier's Ban.

Hi Xavier,

We hope you do think about all the causes of this and fully think about your part in escalating this conflict though we all acknowledge there were multiple parties involved.  I meant to contact you personally as mediator but you have chosen the list as a venue.  Given the circumstances which have been discussed at length but I will continue to collect facts establishing, the ban stemming from your threat of violence was reduced from 1 year to 6 months.  The community was not convinced by your response that you fully understood the mistake that was made or that you were willing to offer a clean apology for the threat of violence.  This was discussed at length last night, concluding a process that has tied up alot of the community's time and energy, and consensus was reached.  This issue is unlikely to be revisited until September, so it is in your best interest to decouple the concepts of your economic activities and access to sudo room in the meantime.

Fact finding continues into the background information for future reference, and all parties involved will continue to be strongly encouraged to uphold and defend sudo room values.

Be safe as well Xavier, and we hope to welcome you back some day having come to terms with all this and having undertaken any personal growth you've identified as prerequisite to your taking part in this community.
