hey marcus, welcoming folx, all,

thanks for all this – wish i was around this month to help more. will
definitely sign up for a front desk shift upon return!

being a book lover, sad to hear the library isn't part of the vision for
the future of the entrance hall. i get that not having someone looking
after the library makes it less useful and less attractive. i guess the
plan is to get rid of ALL of the shelves/books? i kinda wish i'd known
that was part of what "beautifying" meant; i might have felt more
motivated to try to come to the welcoming meetings and try to find an
option that doesn't mean getting rid of EVERYTHING. of course i know
this isn't your first email about this, & the meeting notes have been
getting logged, so it's on me for not knowing. it's just we get so many
emails (long ones! many of us could work on brevity! i like to use a
word counter for this...), it's hard to keep up with things primarily
communicated that way...

sigh.

sorry if this is annoying... just, dunno, publicly mourning.

anyway, overall very excited about what y'all are up to, and appreciate
it very much.
