[sudo-discuss] sudoroom bigTV sound situation

i brought in a little box to connect to the sudoroom big TV, it goes between
the HDMI from the raspberry pi and the TV, and provides analog audio out.

The amplifier for the TV built-in speakers is fried.  So i want to use external
speakers, so we can have the IRC voice work again, and whatever else.

the raspberry pi's built-in analog audio output doesn't work even when i tried
configuring it like the internet says.  Maybe you have better luck, go ahead
and try.

Anyway, i don't know where the little box went.  Do you?
