[sudo-discuss] copy of sudo's recent lease with omni?

Hi Jenny,

I'm grateful for your feedback and help digesting all this. You're totally
right, I misread this three-way lease gdoc as between sudo room and sudo
mesh as lessee's with omni as lessor -- instead of being a lease with sudo
mesh as lessee, while sudo room and omni are effectively a joint lessor.

I'm realizing omni provides two kinds of fiscal sponsorships -- some to
separate entities, and some which indeed appear to indeed be wholly part
and parcel of omni.

It appears only projects which are also separate entities must have leases,
and as you relate, their fiscal sponsorship paperwork is intended to
contractually intended to stand in for a lease (since an entity can't lease
to itself.) There are obligations and terms in omni's leases, which aren't
replicated in or otherwise differ from terms in the fiscal sponsorships.

It's a woolly subject because for example, some projects that are not
separate entities, still do have their own insurance and/or bank accounts
separate from omni, and not all of these non-entity projects are 'members'
constituting omni with respect to delegates etc. With the recent data
loss, its been tricky for me to piece back together what types of paperwork
a given project 'should' have (or had) vs what isn't needed -- but I'm
starting to understand better now.

Basically, Omni must carry a policy or set of policies which covers the
activities of non-entity projects lacking their own independent insurance,
and omni's insurance must apply not only within the premises, but also
cover any activities such projects may do outside of omni as well.

Best,
David
