A Virtual Private Server or VPS is a good option for hosting online and web services such as: website hosting, web applications, backup solutions, networking services, etc. Shared Hosting solutions are usually less expensive, but may constrain your ability to run services based on other users' taxing usage and other limitations. A VPS is more robust and independent, though usually slightly more expensive than shared hosting.
