Instructions	Liquify & carmelize (or invert) the Sugar Combine mate in carmelized sugar, stir, and toast lightly Boil the water and add in the mate combined with carmelized sugar. Add the salt, vanilla, lemon juice, lime juice, ginger, honey, and guar gum. Steep mate in boiling water for 5 minutes. Filter, using mesh, cheesecloth, or similar. Carbonate, potentially in storage container. Enjoy Sudo Mate, an open source mate soda.

SudoMate Mk. 5 Recipe

SudoMate Mk.5 debuted at the May 2013 First Friday Event at Sudo Room, Oakland, CA.
The batch was created hours earlier by Ray Lai & Max Klein with help from Ari Kahn. A Rube Goldbergesque heat exchange was created to watercool the boiling hot mate in time for the event.
No one was burned in the making of the batch.
