I think it's extremely important for women at a hackerspace to be tech literate, be able to code, or at least be able to learn to code. It is part of basic literacy in the society in which we live. It bothers me that the bar is constantly being lowered for women in tech. Being inclusive does not mean enforcing mediocrity for all women just so people who don't know how to code feel comfortable. We should support women who are creative and exceptional.

I love coming to SudoRoom because there are women who are comfortable coding and not afraid of working on tech. There is really no excuse for a woman like me to not code very well. The women who code at SudoRoom are so awesome and inspiring. They are the change that I want to be in the world!
