Sameer Siruguri is Founder and President of Digital Strategies, a digital agency that provides nonprofits with strategic consulting and solutions for all their online needs. Digital Strategies has worked with large organizations, like Sierra Club and Techsoup Global, as well as with smaller organizations in diverse sectors like urban planning (Urban Strategies Council, Oakland), arts education (Slover Linett Audience Research, Chicago), and nonprofit IT management (CommunityIT, Washington DC) to provide a variety of product strategy, product marketing, and technical project management services.

Digital Strategies provides web development and product marketing support to RailsSchool, a technical education website based in SF; and to Bay Area Asset Building Resources, a resource directory working to increase the income and assets of low- to moderate-income families.

Sameer’s career has previously been in the corporate IT sector as well as in the nonprofit arena. He was the Senior Product Manager in charge of the Global Product Donation Program at TechSoup Global, and a Senior Lead Program Manager for Core Search Quality at Bing (Microsoft.) He has also worked at multiple online consumer startup companies that have had successful exits, where he was responsible for developing new lines of business.

He is a technical educator and speaker engaged in helping bring technical knowledge and business skills to the social sector and under-privileged communities in the Silicon Valley Bay Area, where he has worked with organizations like Open Oakland (the Oakland brigade of Code for America), the Taproot Foundation, Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits. He is a volunteer coordinator and mentor with Hack The Hood (Oakland) and RailsSchool (San Francisco). He has consulted on various civic innovation projects, and was a member of a winning team (3rd place) in the 2013 National Conference on Citizenship Civic Data Challenge.

He has a Master’s from Rice University, Texas, and a bachelor’s in computers sciences from IIT (Bombay), India.
