Ha. Yeah same I don’t remember ever seeing a message here in the last 2 or 3 months I’ve been registered. I order 3 radiodisaster boards, got them recently. So far just trying to replicate the happy path. I’m doing the same with a meshstatic set of board as well. ( board are manufactured by the same company and offert similar capacities ) So far nothing new to report. But I did notice that disaster.radio repos seems pretty quiet. Regards, Antoine

New subject: Other LORA mesh implementations

I too have been experimenting with d.r & meshtastic since the wildfires of Summer 2019 in Eastern Australia. Meshtastic is very active and well-supported. https://www.project-owl.com/ducklink looks well-developed and I am keen to build a test network using this also. https://sparrow-platform.com/ can use ducklink. We're in New Orleans: hurricanes, power outages and floods are in a lot of people's minds and network resilience is a topic that comes up a lot. Hey wxie, Daniel, and Antoine, I wouldn't call this project "dead", but more on an indefinite hiatus...haha. I think some sudomeshers are still working on the custom board, not sure how that is going. I was the only person doing software/firmware development, but have taken a step back and no one has stepped up to take over as maintainer. I'm willing to assist in getting someone to speed if they are super-interested in maintaining the repo, but if you really care about the project you will need to be very self-motivated (i.e. there isn't any money involved) and a patient programmer (i.e. my old code is probably horrible). That being said, meshtastic is a lot more active and could probably be modified to do the thing that it doesn't do (web server or ble app or solar panels? idk someone told me the difference between disaster.radio and meshtastic once, I don't remember what it was because it seemed small). Right before, I finished designing a new board with two LoRa modules and an ESP32.
