hi! i’m a student at cca and i’m working on an online zine about mesh networks. i love the work you do and wanted to use it as the basis for my project! i’d love it if i could get a few answers to some questions!! i just wanted to know roughly what the motivation was to create this mesh network in oakland, and if there are any specific communities you hope to empower through making internet connection this accessible? also i’d love to know if/how working on this network has helped any of you in your own practices thank you so much, i really appreciate the help! best, menaja

The videos are served in a local environment after downloaded from the web, meaning users in the same network can search and index the web without internet access, each video is downloaded and locally cached. This means that if the next user searched for the same video they will view the locally saved content, saving bandwidth. 2: Sema is an app which enables users on NodeOne network to effectively communicate without being connected to the internet, Unlike how other traditional apps, where one buys internet data to make a call, Sema enables NodeOne users to do video calls and communicate for free. 3: Baaza is a search engineer built to make NodeOne users search the web to get access to dynamic websites. Baaza runs without internet connection giving users the ability to get free local access to information from the web.
