ISO people to go the Pride Parade OR to work at the Omni. :)

Hellos, I am free until 3pm or so and I would like to use that time by going to the Pride Parade or by working in the Omni. Pride Parade:I can meet you at the Omni and then we can take BART. Omni: Well, this will be work, running the network cable from above La commune register area to the Server area. Please let me know if interested on doing any of the two. Should we take about 20 used Aasus Eee PC 1201n Netbook donation?

Hellos, here are the deets: CONFIG: Intel Atom CPU N450 @ 1.66GHz x 2 2GiB RAM HD 243.9 GB STATE About five or so years old machines. -All of them need new keyboards, and about 4 of them need new displays. REPAIR CO$T: Some people won't mind typing on the keyboard holes, while we buy the keyboards, oh yeah, the cost. I ran a quick search and each keyboard is between 7-15 bucks each. WHY? The current owners don't like them, besides that they been vandalized (Users removed keyboard keys from all keyboards, and about three w smashed displays). Besides that they feel that they run too slow for the software they would like to use. MY TAKE: My take is that for Sudoroom they will be just fine. I brought one home to test and installed Ubuntu 14.4 LTS 32Bit (they may take 64Bit) and it is running fine while browsing, emailing, IRC-ing. :) WHAT IS THE THING? There are two thing, a) I cannot be the Sudo representative. b) The process usually takes about a month - two months to get it completed; so we can start getting the ball rolling next week. Omni Network Wiring

Sierk (a potential new member) and I came to the omni to finish the run that somebody started at the basement, but walking around we saw that there are more things pending. I am planning to be here for a couple of hrs more or less. Anyhow, I started a list of things to do ( https://pad.riseup.net/p/omniwiring ), in case someone would like to add more items or see what is pending: OMNI NETWORK WIRING - LIST TO DO June 27, 2015 PENDING RUNS: * From the computers by the kitchen to the Server Area * From Server area to Basement TERMINATIONS: * Cable that come from the door at the corner to the computers in the second floor. OLD RUNS THAT NEED TO BE RE-DONE: * The phone line (I am 50% guilty of this lousy run) needs to redone at least from the CCL to Server room. * A white cable comes from the basement and goes under the door to the Server area. NOTE: people know that there is a 16 port switch under the 3D printers. 3D Printing Area has a Switch now - Network Access

Hellos, For those working by the 3D working area here a few notes. 1) For your convenience and to help to clear up some of the extra cables in the vicinity a 16 port switch has been installed under the 3D Printer table. 2) All the extra network cables removed from the 3D printing area are now in the Server area, if you need them. 3) The red and black color electrical cable that was feeding power from the basement has been relocated. Now the power is coming from the Server Area; but this should be considered a TEMPORARY solution, since it should be better to have a formal electrical outlet instead. Thank you Sierk (he is not in this list yet), for helping; very appreciated it. Running phone line to La Commune counter

Hey all, since we're running ethernet to the front door, are there any plans to also run some phone cable out there? I know we have a phone in Sudoroom and the La Commune people have been asking for a phone for a long time.

3D area and the one above by the server room.

Hello Folks, I would like to help clearing the wiring that comes from the 3D printing area and the are above, but I would prefer if I speak with someone that work in this area just to make sure I am touching/moving stuff I should touch/move. The cables coming from these two areas really make the server area look messy, well, okay okay, make the server area look messier. :) I am at the sudoroom right now, and I could work on it right now and someone tells me it is ok. Pollination project grant final report due in 5 days

Since we got $1000 from them we have to send a report answering the following questions: A final report is due within 12 months of when you sign your grant agreement letter. The final report should be emailed to *grantees(a)thepollinationproject.org <grantees(a)thepollinationproject.org>* should answer the following questions : 1. How did you spend the grant funds, and what have you achieved during the last 12 months of work on your project? 2. What have you learned about yourself and/or the world as you’ve worked on your project? 3. A story about how the TPP Seed Grant has made a difference for you and your work? 4. Provide at least one photo and/or video of your project in action (more is better!) so that we can share it on our website and use it to inspire others. 5. (optional) Any advice you would give to future grantees of the Pollination Project (in terms of applying for a grant from us, implementing the project, managing the budget, reporting back). I need wiring status for the entrance area please...

Hello All, Could someone please give me the update on the wiring by the corner's entrance? when I left today, there was an issue that the existing drill bit was not long enough. If making the whole, for the network cable, still not done, please let me know. A friend and I can come on Tuesday with a few feel long drill bit to take care of it. I just need to confirm my friend that it still needed; so we can meet there on Tuesday.
