State of the sudo mesh meeting

Hi sudo meshers! It's been a while since we've all hung out. A lot has changed and many of us are in different places both mentally and physically since sudo mesh was last properly active. That being said I feel like we still all have things that are exciting to us relating to decentralized internet things. Maybe some old projects should be officially shelved. Maybe people have ideas for new things they'd like to hack on. Let's meet up and talk about what we are excited about and what we want for the future. If nothing else we can at least decide on a recurring time to hang out and hack on cool stuff together. 2020 tax form filed - financial reports attached

Hey sudomesh crew! Just a quick update that I have filed the 990 e-postcard (990-N) and the 199-N for Sudo Mesh's federal and state 2020 tax requirements, respectively. Financial reports covering 2020 are attached, and I'll update the github shortly, also. I'll leave discussions of generally rebooting to their own threads (on mesh(a)lists.sudoroom.org) - at the least there are some Omni proposals to consider. :) We are timely in our contribs to Omni, but I need to double check we've been contributing to Sudo Room. Sudo Room is strapped for $$ right now - a grant from Sudo Mesh to Sudo Room is a proposal I've been considering making. But for the moment - getting Sudo Mesh caught up on due diligence, and rebooting activity generally, are my priorities.. (others more than welcome to start those threads tho!) Love, Jenny

Hi all, I'm not sure what's the best way to contact folks in Sudo Mesh For legal reasons, every omni collective needs to have 1 member formally represented on the Omni Commons executive board. Right now Sudo Mesh appears to not be represented by anybody, because we haven't updated our bylaws since you joined as a member collective. Could you all figure out who you want on Omni's board? Thank you both for your replies to my original message: Subject: [Mesh] forest fire early detection system I didn't see your responses because I had the mesh list turned off, but now that i've seen them i'm really grateful! I will look into the links you sent. I want to mention that you both have "digest mode" enabled, so you're getting a single email per day of the mesh traffic. That works great for lists with more than one message per day, but when you reply, you should edit the subject so it's not something like: Subject: [Mesh] mesh Digest, Vol 96, Issue 2 for those wondering what i'm talking about, search the archives for the above subject here: https://sudoroom.org/pipermail/mesh/2021-February/date.html the right way to manually reply to a subject is to put "Re: " before the original subject, for example: Re: [Mesh] forest fire early detection system thanks again! I will look through what you both sent. -jake
