Hi Sudo People,
I'd like to document an installation or the likes of the MESH network to go along with the interviews for the Commons film ( https://sudoroom.org/wiki/BunkerFilms ). Could you please let me know when the next setup is that I could film. mail(a)bunkerfilms.com & 215-971-0837.

We need someone to step up to the job of finding insurance for The Omni. We
really need more people to get involved with Omni in order to make it
happen. So far a handful of people have been doing most of the work, which
is bad for a variety of reasons, so if you have the time, let me know :)

Subject: [omnilogistics] Omni Insurance: Please Read!
To: omnilogistics <omnilogistics(a)lists.riseup.net>
Hello friends,
I am hoping to find someone who would be willing to manage the process
of liasing with the insurance agencies we are in conversation with
regarding insurance for the Omni.
This will require a bit of a commitment - possible around an hour a day.
It is incredibly important to note that, without insurance, we will
not be able to take possession of the building.
We must sort out our insurance BEFORE we move in on July 1st.
I am of the opinion that, while the insurance agencies will likely
need to speak with someone from each collective at some point, one
person should be the main point of contact and see the whole process
through to completion.
The insurance agencies move a bit slowly when left to their own
devices so who ever takes this on should be willing to apply some
pressure to make sure that things keep moving forward.
David has already done a ton of the preliminary work.
Here's what needs to happen first:
* Each member group: Please provide a name / phone number / email
address for whomever will be the point of contact within your
organization for the insurance agency. Ideally, we need this
information today.
PLEASE BE AWARE:
* Every corporation *WILL* need their own insurance
* Every unincorporated association *MAY* need their own insurance.
Please contact me if you have questions.
If I do not hear from delegates today, I (or rather, the kind and
generous soul who volunteers to spearhead this) will be calling you!!!
Niki

We're mounting the node we previously discussed at the meeting on the tall
building this Friday at noon.
Sorry it got pushed back, but now it's happening.
The node is configured with default OpenWRT but we'll have remote SSH
access so we can set it up with batman and tunneldigger after it goes up.
It won't need a lot of fancy configuration since it's only a roof to roof
node 5 ghz node :)
Let me know if you want to come with us. We've borrowed a really nice video
camera from Noemie for the occasion :)

Hey folks,
Did we happen to get email addresses for Ron or Ivy last week? I'm
moving through some service browser things and there's plenty for them
to do, so I wanted to get in contact and see if we could start
collaborating.
Or - Ron and Ivy, if you're out there, email me!

Hi Meshers!
Sorry I've dropped off the discussion lately, things have been hectic...but
I'm still here!
Right now, I have two neighbors who explicitly want to share my wifi, and
rather than setting up something limited to us, it makes sense to just
establish a node. I have a good head-start, since Marc helped me mount a
directional antenna/router a while back; I don't think that particular
thing is necessary for the immediate goal, but I do think that using the
existing mount and cabling, and a non-directional router in the same
location, would be a good first step.
My neighbor is in school, and eager to get something set up ASAP. I'm
wondering if there's anybody who could give me a hand, perhaps even this
weekend? And is there a multi-directional router available to set up a node?

Hello Meshers,
I'd like to report that the node I have has access to the Internet. It
is working!
Thx!

Hi everyone! So I've been super focused on this coffee venture and I really
don't want to over-extend myself (and flake). However...
I work in the Fillmore area in San Francisco and building relationships
over the past 12 years, i've developed a rapport with several communities
including a new developing community: tech.
I've had several random conversations with many random imported talents
that I do not want an opportunity to recruit or spread the word pass by.
Are there any printed fliers I can pick up or digital files I can print on
my home printer? Otherwise I will spend my spare time that i usually invest
in coffee to develop some black and white fliers for print and also share
with the sudo group.
If I design fliers I need key points to present and soundbites to pitch
casually in a 30-second conversation.
I have a coffee related trip to sacramento wed-thurs so oakland can be my
destination before I head home that evening to pick up or do a quick sync.

Just a reminder for folks who'd like to meet up this evening to work
on mesh-related tasks - we'll be meeting at sudo starting at 7:30.
I'll be there closer to 8pm.
And a reminder in general that any of us can and should facilitate if
normal facilitators aren't present! There's plenty to work on, namely
at this point debugging the firmware and tackling other items on our
ToDos list: https://sudoroom.org/wiki/Mesh/ToDos
Please add to this list as you see fit!
Cheers,
Jenny
