The vendors don't care unless you buy a lot of units. They just won't care.
The FCC takes public submissions and can be lobbied. Your vendors can't.
Sure, please feel free to tell the vendors about it but please focus on the
regulatory bodies. This includes Europe as well.

typically do want to do what their customers want (caveat caveat of
course), and arming the vendor with resources to present to the FCC is
worthwhile too.
