Unichannel meshes work quite well. The 802.11s
implementation in the
OLPC was so chatty that the network management traffic left little
room for other kinds of traffic.
Exactly. The problem is in 802.11s (and that the hardware manufacturer
couldn't deliver promised hardware as well) and not ad-hoc. We were
talking about putting phones into ad-hoc and not 802.11s.
