We need someone to step up to the job of finding insurance for The Omni. We really need more people to get involved with Omni in order to make it happen. This will require a bit of a commitment - possible around an hour a day. It is incredibly important to note that, without insurance, we will not be able to take possession of the building. We must sort out our insurance BEFORE we move in on July 1st. I am of the opinion that, while the insurance agencies will likely need to speak with someone from each collective at some point, one person should be the main point of contact and see the whole process through to completion. The insurance agencies move a bit slowly when left to their own devices so who ever takes this on should be willing to apply some pressure to make sure that things keep moving forward. David has already done a ton of the preliminary work. Here's what needs to happen first: * Each member group: Please provide a name / phone number / email address for whomever will be the point of contact within your organization for the insurance agency. Ideally, we need this information today. PLEASE BE AWARE: * Every corporation *WILL* need their own insurance * Every unincorporated association *MAY* need their own insurance.
