Thank you for the notes, Andy! :D ...and excited about all the progress ~ especially the dashboard and disaster radio! I think having regular weekly node installs again is a great idea, and that Jorrit taking lead on talking with new folks is awesome (but totally feel free to ask for a sub if you start to burn out on it <3) I forgot the new pad link name, so I was on /sudomesh/... sorry about that. I'm home with family in upstate NY for a week. Re: the RESIST grant, plz contribute to the writing if you can at https://pad.riseup.net/p/sudomesh_resist_grantapp - I am thinking we don't have it quite together to apply for this round (it's a bit too much work unless someone else can also crunch on it this week), but it's good to get some text and materials together. - The deadlines for the next rounds are early June, early Aug, and early Sep, which are far more reasonable :) Re: the annual meeting, our bylaws state actually that a minimum of 10 days notice is required for a meeting - however, that the chair/president (currently me) needs to create a committee that nominates new board members 30 days before their election. i think it's overkill given the size of the group, but here are nominees based principally on who's currently actively and consistently involved with the project: - Current board is Jenny, Marc, Jeremy, Jake, Matt, ChrisJ, MaxB, Pete <https://sudoroom.org/wiki/User:Peteforsyth>, Arlo (elected at the 9/15/2015 annual board meeting <https://sudoroom.org/wiki/Mesh/15_September_2015>) - Of this group, currently active participants are myself, Marc, Jake, and Matt - Vote to remove: Jeremy, ChrisJ, MaxB, Pete <https://sudoroom.org/wiki/User:Peteforsyth>, Arlo, Matt unless any of them speak up here wanting to stay on the board (cap is 11 directors) - Nominating: Daniel, Will, Andy D, Lesley, Jorrit, Jehan, Eve, Grant Any nominees are welcome to decline :) Or if I missed someone, plz nominate them on this thread. Anyone want to be an officer? A nonprofit technically needs to have a chair/president, a secretary, and a treasurer. Roles and responsibilities are detailed in the bylaws <https://sudoroom.org/wiki/Mesh/Bylaws#8.7._Responsibilities_of_Officers>. - Current officers are me (president), Pete (secretary) and Marc (treasurer).
