Hello meshers!
The next Build Your Own Internet office hours* is this Sunday March 4th from
1pm to late afternoon in SudoRoom <https://sudoroom.org/wiki/Directions>.
Last time, we learned to flash nodes (even on windows!), answered questions
about *what* is SudoMesh/PeoplesOpen (and *who* and *how* and *why*), and
at the end of the afternoon went on 3 simultaneous node mounts. 👷🛠📡
This week's theme is *Communication.* Possible projects include:
- creating a "hooray we mounted a node at your house!" letter/exit survey
with links to useful resources (to give to node-owners at the end of a
mount)
- sending e-mails to folks who have expressed interest in getting a node at
their home (there's a backlog)
- proof-reading/editing existing grant applications and writing new ones
- finalizing our newsletter template and business plan
- adding more questions and answers to our node whisperer educational
materials and labs
Should be fun! As usual, this is also a good time to show up / ask
questions / figure out if and how you want to get involved.

** What are BYOI office hours? It serves two purposes:*
*1. A jumping off point for people interested helping with a scheduled
Sunday node mount, but who are not able to attend a Tuesday night meeting
or are not "in the know."*
*2. A friendly, non-confrontational time for new people to get oriented to
the project or just ask general questions about networking, the internet,
and their service provider.*
*We may also use the time to hold training sessions on a topic of choice,
conduct outreach to potential node locations, address finances and
purchasing, or tackle any other outstanding issues.*
