I’ve got a couple of Common Network “COR1A” outdoor routers that I’d like to hack on.
We’ve got something like 100+ of them over at Noisebridge just sitting there in storage.
Would like to use these to provide WiFi in my area and could use help. They’re designed to
fit over a pole on a rooftop.

Those are insane! 6 x E-keyed M.2 slots. You can find very inexpensive
WNICs, it's just about using the right ones that are relatively stable. I'm
sure you could saturate the 5GHz band with them.

I have to know: how on earth did you acquire so many?
OpenWrt provides builds for the LS1034RDB; see

My apologies. I'm really overcome by this hardware -- it's unlike anything
I've ever seen. I wasn't aware that *anyone* manufactured devices like this.

They appear to have everything as shown in the photos from the link Martin provided here:

Looking at the photos, mine is the same setup with 1 metal card and 3 blanks along the
tip, so is that where extra wifi cards would go?
A Noisebridger obtained them from the company, located in San Leandro, likely due to being
bought out by the ISP Monkeybrains.
If anyone from Sudo Mesh would like some to hack on, I’m sure we could get you some, if
you want to drop by Noisebridge sometime. Saturday afternoons are a good time to drop by.
Shoot me an email if you want to know when I’m going.

Yeah I think that's likely a single antenna 2.4 GHz management interface
only meant for accessing the web admin interface when you're sitting close
to it. This means they're basically just ethernet routers until someone
adds wifi adapters. Do they have external antennas for plugging into those
wifi adapters or no?
