Franklin, mapped a bit of it sound, seems like there is line-of-sight to
Laney college tower:
Laney: 37*47'48.53" N 122*15'46.52" W

Why do we have access to that rooftop?

Someone who is on this email list dropped in to the mesh meetup tonight,
friend of Mitars I think? Apologetically, I forget their name. This
person's company is potentially going to be mounting some equipment on
their building (or perhaps some other). They may want to share the use of a
development cell service they plan to implement (more details from someone
else perhaps?) I asked about mounting equipment if they do get a tower up.
Positive response, we'll see. Wanted to check to see if we can connect to
Laney.

Hi folks, that'd be me. I did some looking last night and concur w/ Matt
that it seems like we actually might have LOS to Laney. There is a parking
structure in the way I'm worried about (radio LOS != visual LOS), but the
big caveat is that we we're still talking to our landlord about getting
access to that roof, and there's already a lot of 5GHz gear up there so
might not be a great RF environment. I'll follow up w/ the list once we
have some more concrete information.
