Making the shop more diverse at women & non-binary hack night
It’s really hard to find women in machine and 3D printing or laser cutting shops, so it’s great to have a Monday evening Women and Non-Binary hack night at the SudoRoom. It doesn’t make sense since there are so many CIS chicks at places like Joanne’s Fabric or crafting places. Let’s make the laser cutter scene more diverse!

We have lots of nifty raw materials for use, especially wood scraps!
It’s nice having someone “hold your hand” while the laser cutter is doing its thing.
This isn’t technically part of SudoRoom, but our sister organization the Free Store in the OmniCommons had this humanly delightful memorial to Susan Haynes. Thank you for being a great human Susan, and let’s celebrate the community that is Oakland!
