A teaser remote meetup for 20-30 minutes discussing speculative design around software, payment systems, and urban planning around the SudoRoom hackerspace and its neighborhood in Temescal Oakland.
We’ll brainstorm ranges of topics that center around the physical space and how people live in this diverse immigrant neighborhood.
- How can we use AI to create a more walkable, healthy community for the people?
- What speculative designs would incorporate rapid technology changes around our neighborhood?
- How are our immigrant neighbors much more cyberpunk with crypto and money transfers and electric scooters than mainstream Americans?
The Future is In-Person and Now
Eventually this will be come an in-person event at the SudoRoom hackerspace with body storming, whiteboarding, post it notes and designer-led discussions.
Meeting in person will also enable us to explore the surrounding immigrant neighborhood of Temescal Oakland around SudoRoom to image a wide range of designs for cars, mobile phone apps, scooters, payment systems and more – this is speculative design after all!
