i think some part of the door network fails when the power goes out. all it
takes is someone accidentally unplugging one of the many plugs within the
ganglion of wire against the north wall.
i think we should re-key it - the swiper system is just too vulnerable to
rely on completely.
as to the latch, it has taken several re-adjustments but is now latching
completely.

and if AC power to the box fails for some reason and the rest of the
building is still powered, we get notifications in IRC Chat so we know to
check on the door system and restore charging before the battery starts
going down.
