Subject: [Battlemesh] Librerouter is around the corner: who wants one?
To: Battle of the Mesh Mailing List <battlemesh(a)ml.ninux.org>
Hi everyone,
We are just around the corner on having the LibreRouter with us!
In order to prepare for the imminent arrival, we prepared a report to
have you informed on how it will be and how you will be able to use it.
https://librerouter.org/…
[View More]media/librerouter-datasheet.pdf
We have also prepared a video to explain you how you can use it in your
communities: http://gg.gg/LR-video
Last but not least, we also want to ask you a few questions about how
you plan to use them in your communities. Please help us collect this
information, that will enable us to prepare for the public release of
the LibreRouter: http://gg.gg/LibreRouter-whowantsone
This same article can be found here: http://gg.gg/LR-whowantsone-article
Have I told you that is Open Source Software and Hardware?
You can check out the source at: http://github.com/libremesh/librerouter
That is all for now.
Don't hesitate on reaching out on any question that you might ask.
Regards,

Hallo!
Come by this Sunday, May 27th (i.e. tomorrow) at 1 pm in Sudo Room
for another BYOI Office Hours.
I'm personally looking forward to hearing about recent node mounts,
catching up with our exit nodes, drafting some interview questions (and
seeing who's willing to share their visions for and experiences with the
mesh), and thinking about maps.
Bring your projects, questions, and meshy vibes!
Hope to see you there,
Benny

* What are BYOI office hours?
It serves two purposes:
1. A …
[View More]jumping off point for people interested helping with a scheduled
Sunday node mount, but who are not able to attend a Tuesday night meeting
or are not "in the know."
2. A friendly time for new people to get oriented to the project or just
ask general questions about networking, the internet, and their service
provider.
We may also use the time to hold training sessions on a topic of choice,
conduct outreach to potential node locations, address finances and
purchasing, or tackle any other outstanding issues.

We will also vote on establishing one or more committees, namely:
- An accounting/finance committee (see recent meeting notes at

of experienced/"certified" volunteers with more formalized processes
around, for example, safety and access, respectively.
If you cannot attend the meeting in person but would like to participate,
remote participation is possible - just send a followup reply to this email!

Hey everybody,
A few of us have been discussing the possibility of starting a
"software/firmware working group" to handle some of the bugs and design
decisions that have been coming up as we develop and maintain various parts
of People's Open Network. In order to test out this idea, we will be
holding a knowledge share session tomorrow, Tuesday May 14th, from 5:30pm
to 7pm.
Mostly, we will be sharing ideas about our custom build of OpenWRT such
that more people feel comfortable making …
[View More]contributions to our firmware.
Additionally, we will have an in depth discussion of on-going projects and
look at parts of our software that are in need of attention.
Anyone is welcome to join this session, though it is highly recommended
that you are somewhat familiar with how the People's Open Network operates
and the code base and technologies being used to build the network.
Of course, we are still having our usual Tuesday evening organizational
meeting, so don't forget to add any topics you'd like to be discussed at
that meeting on Tue 14 May 2018, 7:30 - 9:00 PM PT.
>>> https://peoplesopen.net/notes <<<
Please add your discussion item(s) where it says "== Discussion: X ==" or
"== Proposal: X ==" and include any concise, relevant comments to inform
the discussion. Remember to also add the topic at the top under Agenda.
If you add something, we expect you to come to the meeting to give some
context and lead that discussion.
Thanks,

Hi all!
BYOI Office Hours will be held at 1 pm in Sudo Room this Sunday, May 13th. Sorry for the late notice this week!
We've been making a lot of headway (https://github.com/sudomesh/bugs/issues/34) on improving our build processes this week. Come join us to hack on things or learn more about the mesh.
I look forward to seeing y'all there!
Ben
