OK, but this should not be an obstacle for hackers on this list. ;-)
The question I have is - is this something we might wanna add our
efforts to and build then something for mesh networks as well?
I am still hoping for something which would be able to run on small
OpenWrt routers in distributed manner, each node, small node of a mesh
social network.
I am not sure if Bitcoin-based solution really can run on such small
devices, though.

I think they're in a pretty early, "proof of concept" kind of
stage. Very exciting, but a lot of people seem to be frustrated by

The Twister website says that's the codebase is in alpha, for all that
implies. It's even in red text:
"Warning!
"This is alpha software! In other words: this software is probably
difficult to compile, it is not feature-complete, it can be unstable,
and it may crash causing data loss. You have been warned."
