I don't think it really needs to be a whole lot
more complicated than just
spinning up a pub on some node on the mesh (or better yet, just putting a
pub on the internet).
Then you have a centralized node. Then you can also just use Rocket.Chat
inside the network and this is it. I think the whole point of using
patchwork is to have it decentralized.
Now, the question is how decentralized. It should be multiple nodes in
the network. Or should each client (browser) be a peer. My proposal is
for the latter.
