Yeah the mesh just routes traffic on the mesh. You need a VPN.
Also is there a setup procedure of batman-adv on
sudowrt documented
anywhere? My searx skills have turned up nothing.
Since you'll be using batman-adv I don't think using sudowrt would do
you any good since that only supports babeld. I'd just recommend using
plain OpenWRT or maybe looking at the LibreRouter firmware (I _think_
they support batman-adv but I'm not 100% sure).
