I almost forgot.
SUGGESTION:
Is it possible to add the capability to change Channels?
The channel chosen/assigned on the PON I deployed is set on Channel 3.
I wanted to move it to Channel 11 instead.
Thank you,
Daniel

Hello All,
I'm pleased to bring my
PeoplesOpen.net (PON) deployment report!
BACKGROUND: The test is done at a friend's house, due that I don't
have my own Internet access. He plans use it and report back to me,
or in fact we could add him our email list, can we add his email
address?
Anyhow...
CONFLICT: The Internet access is via a router that uses the
10.x.x.x Network. So there were some conflicts due that the
PicoStation2 runs on the same Network.
SOLUTION: The way to make the PicoStation2 work was to node be able
to access the Internet was that another router was place in
between. So the two 10.x.x.x networks were separated.
The PON node has been assigned 6Mbps/3Mpbs upload.
OTHER TESTS: I ran
Speakeasy.net for speed test, the results 5.72
download / 2.54 upload. The IP gateway shown for my connection is
from Chicago, VPSCheap. Nice.
Adium (OTR for Macs) cannot connect via PON. I checked it twice.
CONCLUSION: Besides Adium not being able to connect TALK and the
need to have a router to overcome the dual 10.x.x.x;
PeoplesNetwork.net works and without much of effort.
Thank you for all the hard work put on this project. It is
awesome!

*Outstanding Questions: *
* Investigate ham folks and their equipment -
maybe they are
getting rid of towers etc * Investigate becoming a Ubiquiti
reseller [What we do know: As router resellers, we'd be
responsible for replacing them when they break.] * Can we keep
the same IP yet switch to different access points?
