anymore, please take a minute to go on there and remove anything you know
doesn't exist anymore (or never did)
I believe there's an entire subnet described 192.168. something thst'a not used
at all. Everything is under 100.64.64.0/22 is it not?
so yes, please please take some time to go in there and do some cleanup. Just
stuff you know off the top of your head or can confirm.

The new switch has two VLANs, emulating what we had before with two
switches. The private VLAN is supposed to be 192.168.x.x but is not
currently in use. When I set up the new router which yar dropped off I will
activate the private VLAN again.

I have learned a bit of network stuff over the years but there's still so much

Nothing is currently on the private LAN. For things where we might not want
it 100% open without any password we can use the private LAN. This is
useful if we want to have e.g. video streaming equipment that is isolated
and prioritized over the general network so it won't stop working when

Yes agreed. People who don't work on Omni infrastructure should probably
never encounter the private subnet. At most they might see a different wifi
SSID with a password that they don't have.

The private lan used to exist, and did mostly separate ethernet from
wifi. But in 2019 when the private lan switch died suddenly, people
freaked out and immediately moved all its ethernet cables onto the
other switch next to it. None of them were labelled, so it was
impossible to reverse this change without a lot of detective work.
I'm sorry I didn't document things well enough when I first set up
saros. But it sounds like things are changing soon when Marc sets up
the new router - is it still worth bothering to document how saros is
configured now?
