I agree, I was planning to use a software reset over wifi but having hard
reset capability would make up for increased complexity from the extra
component.  If we put the relay right off the battery it will de-power the
ESP and Picostation.  I think we should only use the relay to shut off the
picostation and trust the pwm controller to regulate power to the battery.

 wifi for power management/sleep, and to let the controller send warning

 controller can keep a log during downtime.
