Hello anyone out there, just flashed a router (My Net N600) using the
auto-config latest version software, but the mesh SSIDs don't seems to
connect, just the private one.
Is the auto-config working properly or should not use it?

Pardon, this is a better screenshot, it shows that the router is not
getting an IP address.
I believe it is not a layer 1 issue, because the router is fine while using
the Private network.

Hey, Daniel. IIRC the SSL cert is expired for the URL that serves the node its mesh IP. We
need to fix this...

We should be able to use https://letsencrypt.org and generate a new one, then just replace
the old one on the server.

If you are familiar with ssh you can do the work around and run these two commands:
sed -i.bak 's/curl/curl -k/g' /opt/mesh/retrieve_ip
sh /opt/mesh/retrieve_ip
If not,
The fix should be pretty easy, I’m guessing a couple of days, possibly tonight. I’ll get
back to you once it’s fixed.

Jared, good news! It was a breeze.
1. reset router.
2. uploaded bin.
3. waited about 5 mins or so.
Done! PON was up and working!
Note:
After about five minutes it seems that the router rebooted (i missed that
part if it did or not), but for sure I know the laptop lost connectivity
from PON, but after waiting for a few minutes and until now it has been up
with no issues.

1. reset router.
2. uploaded bin.
3. waited about 5 mins or so.
Done! PON was up and working!
Note:
After about five minutes it seems that the router rebooted (i missed that
part if it did or not), but for sure I know the laptop lost connectivity
from PON, but after waiting for a few minutes and until now it has been up
with no issues.

By the way, not sure if this is a known issue, but the connectivity has
been spotty.
It disconnects randomly. Here is the output of two ping tests I ran, total
time is about half hour long:

1. reset router.
2. uploaded bin.
3. waited about 5 mins or so.
Done! PON was up and working!
Note:
After about five minutes it seems that the router rebooted (i missed that
part if it did or not), but for sure I know the laptop lost connectivity
from PON, but after waiting for a few minutes and until now it has been up
with no issues.

The section that shows latency of approx. 500-800 ms, I was uploading a
34MB size. Other than that I didn't anything online. Once that ended the

This Watson is on the case. That Is super strange to see so much latency and missed
packets even from Google, we may need to vet our exit nodes for reliability. Maybe a trace
route here would help.

Try to keep your router on tonight, I'm going to try to do a point to
point ping test across the mesh to see if it's still happening.
From what I see the hurricane electric border and the n600 seem to be
taking the most time, I think ping is getting to it's threshold of waiting
for a response, the packets just aren't getting back fast enough.
