Hey sudomesh crew!
Just a quick update that I have filed the 990 e-postcard (990-N) and the
199-N for Sudo Mesh's federal and state 2020 tax requirements, respectively.
Financial reports covering 2020 are attached, and I'll update the github
shortly, also.
I'll leave discussions of generally rebooting to their own threads (on
mesh(a)lists.sudoroom.org) - at the least there are some Omni proposals to
consider. :)
We are timely in our contribs to Omni, but I need to double check we've
…
[View More]been contributing to Sudo Room.
Sudo Room is strapped for $$ right now - a grant from Sudo Mesh to Sudo
Room is a proposal I've been considering making. But for the moment -
getting Sudo Mesh caught up on due diligence, and rebooting activity
generally, are my priorities.. (others more than welcome to start those
threads tho!)
Love,
Jenny

I am adding some Omni Commons groups to this.
Hopefully we can get more folks involved with Commons Working Group as
potential for physical opening (?) gets closer.
Or at least host virtual events for more financial support ?
Get new voices and perspectives in the mix.
I'll start attending soon especially in connection to North Oakland Mutual
Aid
Free Store aspects.

Heh heh. Yes indeed, I just mentioned it as an interesting example of
what’s coming along commercially.
Reptilicus sounds Scandilicious!
I see snippets on YouTube - will look for the whole film.

‘Passive income’ - they’ll give you $100/year to host a hotspot
specifically for IoT devices.
https://www.coastfi.com/
I think they’re especially going after owners of multiple-occupancy
buildings.
[One of the pitches - providing coverage for farm sensors- seems
unrealistic- vineyards etc. in Yolo County don’t have heaps of neighbors.]
Anyone want to put a few minutes into applying on behalf of Omni and/or
Sudo Mesh? Both orgs use Digital Ocean droplets :)
<snip>
You're always working on such humanitarian tech projects! I just found
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/pages/hollies-hub-for-good and
thought I'd link you to it; DigitalOcean is putting money (in the form of
server credits) toward a few kinds of such projects.
hello,
hope ur well. just wanted to give you all a heads up that there's a dept of
justice letter that's been in the sudo mesh mailbox at omni for a little
while. may be important
cheers
hi,
hope you all are healthy & sane.
for 2020 tax purposes, could someone please tell me who sudo mesh's
delegate at omni is & how many hours they spent on omni business
(delegates' meeting, working group, work party, etc) in 2020?
thank you
stay well
