Like internet to homeless encampments. We first started funding community Internet projects back in 2005, and we’ve supported over 180 projects since then. These projects are planned and brought to life by our members. We’ve helped fund projects covering everything from education and policy-making, from teaching technical skills to at-risk young people, to helping local engineers deploy leading technology. Examples of successful projects include: - Helping our Uganda Chapter promote child online safety <http://www.internetsociety.org/promoting-child-online-safety-uganda> - Supporting research, such as the CoMIQuaL, the Collaborative Measurement of Internet Quality in Lebanon <https://www.internetsociety.org/comiqual-collaborative-measurement-internet-quality-lebanon> with our Lebanon Chapter - Helping to increase internet access for visually impaired people by supporting our Armenian Chapter in creating an Internet Availability Center <https://www.internetsociety.org/creation-internet-availability-center-cultural-center-armenian-society-blind-and-visually-impaired> for the Cultural Center of the Armenian Society of Blind and Visually Impaired People - Supporting our Ghana Chapter in providing training in Internet Governance and Standards <https://www.internetsociety.org/internet-governance-and-standards-development-training>
