Awesome! So excited to have you on board, April :D
I just sent you a link to a Google Doc folder that contains an extensive
spreadsheet of possible sites for community outreach (basically I went
through and just documented every school, church, community center, etc
within a 2 mile radius of the old sudo location). That folder also has a
somewhat paltry press list and spreadsheet of events we've spoken at or
would like to be present for in the future.'
You have full read/write access, m'dear! <3

Ok, David. This is v cool. Thank you, again.
Hey mesh folks, In our next mesh meeting, let's try to rough sketch a
community outreach plan. I feel no hesitation about contacting developers
of condos to ask about eventually mounting a roof node. I've seen
developers be down, and likewise seen them reject, but it's always best to
start the conversation early, so they can either be stakeholders or have
 time to come around :)

 Talk soon,

 Hey guys,
  1. If anyone is interested, I upped what I guesstimate to be the rough
boundaries/range of our antenna's expected line-of-sight towards the East,
sketched in google earth - the KMZ file and .png images can be found here:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByjR12L1MEjCOXNkUm1KOWZXNWc&usp…
  Overview:

  Closeup:
The northern boundary line is red, a current constraint imposed by the
condo caty-corner from us along the north side of 48th.
The southern boundary line is green, and denotes the future constraint
imposed by the projected height of the 4700 Telegraph development which
will begin work in 12/2015, and be finished 6/2016. Currently, there is no
big building there at 4700, so there currently is no block to line of sight
there, but I wanted to map it to better inform the installation location of
the antenna along the easternmost disco wall room, in case that helps.
  point A is the wall along which we can mount;
 point B is the expected NE corner of 4700 Telegraph;
point C is the SE corner of the existing condo caty-corner from us.
Btw, the lines start from different points on the roof wall of our
building, only to show the relative advantages in positioning on the more
northerly vs the southerly end of said wall.
  2. With this in mind, does anyone know what direction East the antenna
will be pointed? Does anyone have a physical address for the endpoint? I
figured line of sight was already confirmed but given this new development
 I thought this might help.
Btw, 4700 Telegraph will roughly double in height as compared to the old
one. It will be 58'6" at its highest point.
Also in the share is the data from the Nautilus Group -
  Best,
 David

Thanks a million for creating an image and shipping out the proposal :] That's
great.
And these plans are super interesting. Wonder what their timelines look like.

I passed along the rewritten proposal to John (and mocked up the new
image myself, since it was missing from the re-write, I hope that is ok).
I would like to pass something along to all y'all (which I just
received today), which is the new condo they're about to build atop of
where Rise Above's old shop was on 4700 Telegraph.
I don't know the height of the current building (that they will tear
down) is, but you may want to make sure we still have line-of-sight to the
hills once the new building is up. IE, I'm thinking this might affect the
ultimate height of the mounting pole.

 So excited for this node!
BTW 'pole' is misspelled and I think 'Dne dish' is supposed to be
