New subject: [omni-building] omni front door not opening
The front door latch has been fitful for a while. Sometimes it takes
many swipes to get it to work. So far, with enough patience, I have been
able to get in.

You are describing a different issue - the card reader often reads a swipe
wrong and rejects the card with a buzz. I am describing an issue where the
card reader correctly identifies a card, green lights it with a beep, sends
a signal to open the latch, but the door still does not open.

Hi Helen,
Is the card reader making the happy noise but you're unable to open the door?
I don't see any record of your card being recognized by the system.
Are you keeping the magnetic stripe on the left? That's the only way i've seen
it work. After I return Tuesday i'll be able to help you in person if
necessary.
