New subject: Disco Room use
Hey Omni,
I just noticed there's a healing group doubled booked in the Disco Rm during the same
time as The East. Just confirming that The East is still in the Disco Room today 2/11 from
4-6pm? If we're not in the Disco Room I was wondering if we can use the Ballroom?
Also, according to the calendar there's a dance group using the Disco Room at the same
time through March. I like to confirm that we're still able to use the Disco room.

Is there any way that we can consolidate calendars, and at least reduce it
to two? I made sure that "The East" was on both BAPS and Omni general
calendar, and hoped that would be enough to prevent booking conflicts. It
would be nice of booking conflicts didn't happen. Would it be possible to
break our calendaring down to just those two?

i agree! we *do* need a better system, and i say, go for it, steve & robb:
- build it / find it
- test it
- deploy it
- switch everything over from the old cal (first archive it plz)
- train the commons wg on how to use it
- maintain it
here, i even made a blueprint of what we need, about two years ago, after
trying many things that did not work:

(and yes, i've tried getting wizards of sudoroom to help, but it's a big
undertaking)
conflicts will happen. if we had higher attendance at commons wg meetings
and more people to help track the dozens of events that happen on the
monthly in the commons, they would happen less often.

Okay. My short term solution idea was to stop using occupy and shift
requests directly to the calendar (then we'd have one calendar). I was
gonna ask a few key people like Jenny and Yar if there was a good reason
not to do this... Will try to work on this in the next few weeks unless
folks think it's a bad idea.
Looking forward to the long term too though!
I was gonna call a a few places like La Peña to see what they use for the
SMS purpose to see if we could crowd source the most useful one. And
Jenny's consultation sounds like a good start too.
