DarkMode TouchDesigner Workshop

Our first TouchDesigner workshop!

The start of our first TouchDesigner workshop Sunday evening before our DarkMode session! It was really great, and people were able to get a walk through with one of the major tools of the trade for doing stuff like projecting onto buildings.

Many thanks to Andrew for leading the workshop! There were a cool mix of interesting people there, and the ability to collaborate with people more technical than most of the beginners.

What was really cool was that we had women in the space talking about DJ’ing and music production, which is not very common. Everywhere I go when I see a light projection crew there aren’t any women, so hopefully this will tip things in our favor.

As a side note, this is a cool light projection project I biked past on the way to SudoRoom. This is the kind of stuff we would use TouchDesigner for, projecting cool images and lights onto a surface. The crew was cool but yeah! no women! Maybe we can help women from being diverted into other things and get some folks up to expand their horizons 🙂

There are more plans to do more touch designer workshops with donations! Thanks for getting the ball rolling!
