Announcing the latest mini-Hackmeet at The Holdout! The topic for this month’s workshop is: “Cell Phone Security for Noobs”.
Whether you have an Android, iPhone or whatever else, the state of security and privacy on our mobile phones is pretty awful. Some questions we’ll delve into: What info about you is your mobile phone constantly leaking, and to whom? What if you’re being actively targeted by state security, legal authorities, malicious apps, etc.? What if your phone is seized or stolen? Is there anything we can do to use our mobile phones more safely?
All are welcome – this event is geared for the noob in all of us! Come learn / come share!
