Taking apart a 1960s Siemens X-Ray Machine

Just another random Thursday night at SudoRoom…

Look, what do we have here? a 1960s Siemens X-Ray Machine!

It looks spotless inside still!

Adam says that they used to employ artists at the factories to hand-solder PCB boards. So this is an example of that. Straight out of the sixties and in pristine shape.

Kelly holds a vacuum tube that ran this device. We just can’t even imagine how hard it was to maintain these things, since the vacuum tubes had to be replaced from time to time.

The inside looks elegant today still despite it all.
