I put in a pre-order for 3. Looks like they're not using atheros, but it'll
be worth taking a look, and would especially be worth contacting them about
some sort of partnership considering that they're a local company.

It would be pretty easy to make it possible to do:
npm install -g pplsopen
# configure
peoplesopen.net adhoc wifi, grab static IP from
meshnode-database and set up babel
pplsopen wifi enable
# same but on ethernet
pplsopen ethernet enable
Definitely a side-project, but could be pretty easy depending on how
standard their OpenWRT install is.
