Hello All,
Tonight (Thursday) I upgraded the OS for a Cisco 2950 48 port switch.
It is ready for configuration.
Also: Chris and Luis mentioned that are interested in participate in
this project.
Some of the things we discussed:
a) Chris will be away during the next three weeks, but said that he
will keep in eye on these emails.
b) He could help with the configuration of pfSense (firewall).
c) We need to come out with questions and present them to the group,
so we can find out what is what the consensu about the LAN(s) would
look like. One or two VLANs? More VLANs, how many? Should we be
considering getting Telecom racks? Server racks? Etc, etc.
Anyhow, if you would like to participate please let us know, join this
tread.
Thx!

Hello All, my name is Daniel and this is my first email on this
list.
I have shared with some folks at the Sudoroom the idea that perhaps
we should be getting ready to discuss the new layout, planning,
and execution of the LAN for our new location, the Omni.
My knowledge on LAN design and implementation is limited; but I am
excited of the idea of being part of this project with others more
experienced than myself.
Things that I can help with:
* Run and termination of cables, I have some experience with this.
* I have a set of wiring tools that we can use, that include:
Wiring Scissors Cable tester Multimeter Telescopic poles Drill,
etc. * Update the Cisco 2950 and Cisco 3550 Operating System; YES!
We own some of them that can be used. * Basic switch configuration
like creating VLANs, assigning VLANs to switch ports, setting
passwords, and things alike.
Anyways, I will be upgrading the OS to a 48 Port Switch tomorrow
night (Thursday May 1st) during or after the SudoMesh weekly
meeting; so please let me know if you are interested.
Thx!
